This is a guide to the general state of finances at clubs within
the Championship based on latest annual or interim reports, or
the reporting thereof in the local press. The Debt figures
should be treated with caution as clubs have many different
arrangements for dealing with this through either private
individuals or holding companies.

Notes
Football club debts are becoming harder to interpret with many clubs converting debt to equity in order to create a more positive financial picture. The number shown in the Debt column is, therefore, the figure from the Profit and Loss Account in company accounts and represents the historical accumulated loss and gains of the accounts. While this might not accurately capture the debt of the club it is a consistent measure by which to compare all clubs.
